Wacky, wet and wild, my friends. That's what today is. A dreary NYC workaday here, with raindrops falling on my head -- but that's okay, because I've got some special treats for you.

ShuffleThis is back, and lookin' to party -- with not just one, but two mixes for your earholes. First, we have the eighth IthacaMafia Mixtape for your enjoyment, where the theme this time around is cover songs. I've been a'workin' on it for quite some time, so I hope you find it to your liking. (Click Here for comprehensive liner notes.) Secondly, we have the first installment of my infamous Ska Anthology. I've received numerous requests from folk over the years for a comprehensive introduction to Ska -- and a limited edition of you out there already have the CD's I made. But, I decided to share the Anthology with the world, so here's the first disc: which covers the first incarnation of ska in Jamaica from 1960-68. (Click Here for REALLY comprehensive liner notes.) Anyways, that's what I've got up on ShuffleThis for your pleasure. More are in the works, so stay tuned.

The weekend was fabuloso and filled with a surprise visit by Ire & the lovely Liz. Bobo & SoCo put together a bitchin' bash at their pad out in Jersey for Kamy; and went over and above the call to keep us entertained (and full). It was so popular, even members of the animal kingdom showed up, as you can see above (I'm not talking about Haps). Check Flickr for more pics, if you dare.

I'm off to Lancaster this weekend, but if you're looking for a place to catch some football this Sunday (or this season -- I'll be going quite a bit), head over to The Joshua Tree (46th & 9th) where Marcs is bartending. Good screens, cold beers, super grub -- and the hottest member of the Mafia behind the bar. How can you beat that?
