I'm not quite ready to let go of my longing for Kauai yet, so I've managed to put up select pictures from all nine days on Flickr. So, if you want to avoid the winter (spring?) day drudgery with me, take a trip down my memory lane... to: The Complete Kauai.
A Day at the Beach in Kauai + A Box of Army Men = This Video. (Raw footage by Kluv. Sound capture & Explosions by Frants. Front wall reinforcement by Diesel.)
I plan on putting up more days from the Kauai trip this week. Stay tuned!
Ahhhhhh, Princeville. Hello, gang. While I continue to work on my photos, the industrious little Diesel Buffness took the time (see: unemployed) to go through his professional snaps and put them up on Flickr as well. His use of the super-camera paid off in spades.
So, to check out all two-hundred plus pictures, check the following:
Diesel's Kauai Super-Photos Photoset: for hi-comedy commentary. Slideshow: for flash-fast smoothness.
Firstly, thank you to my friends for all the well-wishes and messages of congratulations today. We're happy you're happy!
Even though I'm crazy tired -- I wanted to get up our first two days on the Island for your fun and enjoyment (and in two different formats, no less). So, without further ado:
Kauai: Day One! Photoset (with comments and notes!) Slideshow (oooh, purdy!)
Kauai: Day Two! Photoset (with comments and notes!) Slideshow (oooh, still purdy!)
Aloha, my friends! We have returned from our wonderful week on the island of Kauai. Jet-lagged, sun-tanned, and plain-old burned out from all our fun from the last week -- but, I am going to dutifully put up a gallery of each day in our own beautiful piece of paradise.
A selection of the kick-ass things that I did: PSP on the Plane, Awesome Ohana House, Keoki's Paradise, Army Men on Poipu Beach, Moon in Koloa Town, Roosters and Chickens galore, Scenic Overlooks, Snorkeling at Ke'e Beach, Bubba's burgers, Brick Oven Pizza, Dry Caves in Ha'ena, Hiking the Pihea Trail, Got Engaged, Beers and Baseball at Brennecke's, A 32-ounce Birthday Prime Rib, Winner of Macadamia Nuts, Spouting Horn, Dry Caves, Kona Coffee and learning that Dramamine won't prevent air sickness when you're on a helicopter flying around the Ne Pali coast.
So, Mahalo, Kauai! You know how to have a good time!
Happy March, fearless readers. I come to you on the edge of leaving this frizzled city o' mine for some more temperate climates. My bags are packed, and I'm ready to go -- to Kauai! That's right, the time has come for myself, Hydro, Frants and Diesel to kick it Pacific Style and head on out to the 50th state. Excitement doesn't do the feeling justice, but I suppose it'll have to suffice.
In my absence, I'm sure you'll manage (because it's not like I don't normally go 10 days between updates, anywho). But, if you need to entertain yourself while I'm gone -- and you're interested in helping out a good cause -- I've got two smashing benefits you could attend.
- First, on the 6th of March, we have Happy's own Waterwell Productions holding their Cabaret Benefit at Joe's Pub. See website for details, and purchase tickets. If you've ever caught a Waterwell show -- you know it's well worth the price of admission.
- Second, on the 8th of March, we have Rounders and Hitchell's "Huge Dorks Productions" Fundraiser: Save The Orphanage! down at Uncle Mings in the East Village. Stop by for some fun and to support these two guys in continuing to make their hilarious & creative films. Rock. (And, speaking of "Rock!", don't forget to check out Mitch's own website and say 'hiya'. Wicked Awesome.)
And, if you're looking at some interesting photos whilst I'm gone, you can check out the wild gallery that Amy took when she recently went to the Playboy Mansion on a Late Show remote. "Will it Float?" went on tour, and she got a personal tour of the grounds, complete with monkey nobs, Hef, and some playmates. Wild. Peep it at my Flickr stream if you like.
Now, if you'll excuse me, it's time to pack, eat, and later -- address the madness that's gripping our messageboard. I've gotta step in and end the chaos. Wish me luck.
