A gaggle of friends whose ties are traced back to the same small town in upstate NY. Photography, humor, music and good times abound.

Goin' Down The Only Road We've Ever Known...

"We're four years old." Just like the story of little Jeffery that Bill Cosby told so many years ago, it is time to tell everyone that we are indeed, four years old. And while mucho mucho things have changed in the last four years (and I should hope that they have, I mean, four years is a LONG time...), many things are still the same. But today -- today, we focus on the new and the changes, as it is time for the ol' Ithacamafia.com to get a little re-launch.

As you can see, the majority of the look has stayeth the same -- but while it may look the same, I'd like to think of it as a slimmer, trimmer Ithaca Mafia dot com. First off, you'll notice what is no longer here (or, since the reason I got rid of them in the first place is that nobody was really using them -- perhaps you won't notice).

The "red-headed-stepchild" sections of the old site (namely the rock, reviews, writings, and links sections) have been sent away to live with a very nice family on a farm where they have plenty of space to run around. It's much better for them out there than here in a cramped apartment. Really. If you are still dying to see them, though -- you can find a way. You just have to know where to look... (*cough*archives*cough*)

The sections that people actually use from time to time (which seems to be the Jedi, Pictures, and of course -- messageboard) are still here, and are now ready to step forward and take their rightful place as the cornerstones to a successful source of entertainment and community. Ahhhhhh, community. That, I suppose, brings us to the biggest change to the site (at least from a technical standpoint).

I now update the site thru a popular po-gram called Blogger. What it allows me to do is update the site thru the web -- anytime, anywhere, from any computer. It automatically does the work for me, automatically keeps everything nice and organized and archived. It makes it so that an update doesn't take an hour of work for me. But more importantly, is also can allow YOU to do the updating as well. That's right, for all those that are interested (and for my sakes, I hope the answer is more than "zero"), any of you can now update the site. A democracy (or at the very least, a semi-aristocracy) if you will. Whether you have something profound you wish to write about, or just want to put up what is going on w/ you and yours, or perhaps you are interested in a more "professional" platform to speak from than the messageboard -- you can now update the site just as easily as you would write an email.

And so, I formally encourage any and all of you out there to join on in. Step right up. Update your bios. Or, write your bios for the first time. With these days and years moving 2 fast and 2 furious for all of us, I'd like to think there is a way we can keep a thread of that mystical "I don't know what" alive for many days to come. This is the best idear I could come up with.

Change is good. Live it, love it, and be well. I'll catch you all sooner rather than later.
